Learning to Fly Fish

One of the things our fishing guides do is teach. Whether you’re a complete novice, a once a year fishing warrior or a seasoned professional, our guides will work with you to hone your fly fishing skills.

There isn’t a week that goes by that we don’t introduce beginners into the world of fly fishing, Kylie Sargeant our casting instructor, is the only FFI certified female casting instructor in New Zealand.

She will get you casting and then hand over the reins to your fishing guide who will continue your fly fishing journey on our local rivers.

Several times a season we also run dedicated learn to fly fish weekends, which add evening sessions on all manner of fly fishing topics including the physics of casting, fly selection, knot tying, fly tying & stream entomology.
